The Emotional Brain - Research and Tools for Improving Outcomes for Under-Resourced Students
In her book Emotional Poverty in All Demographics, Dr. Payne examines a wide range of topics in her research. Participants will be challenged to understand better how an “unregulated and unintegrated” brain can lead to a brain blowout, and to identify processes to mitigate the situation when it occurs. They will learn how an adolescent's brain develops and better understand how bonding and attachment styles impact relationships and interactions in their classroom. Learning about the “classroom dance” and other key parts of this research and tools will help empower every educator in the school.
Important Note: This course requires the purchase of the book Emotional Poverty in All Demographics.
